What is Trellis?

Trellis is a holistic pathway into full-time local church ministry.

Through a multi-faceted, comprehensive approach, Trellis is equipping the next generation of church leaders to start new life cycles in churches around the world.

Through the 3 pillars of Empowering, Education, and Equipping, Trellis is seeking to intersect those God has called into ministry with the necessary training and resources they need. The program seeks to fully equip each student for a lifetime of local church ministry.

Students that are accepted into the internship will receive 3 years of church experience at a local church.

  • Year one, they will rotate through the various ministries of the local church.

  • Years two and three, they will have the opportunity to specialize in one of these areas for growth.

  • This valuable hands-on, training experience is coupled with a specialized year-round class schedule from one of our partner universities.

Trellis isn’t just an internship.
It’s 7 years of practical education and ministry, all rolled into 3 years.

God is still at work. He is still calling people into full-time ministry, He's still using local churches to bring the good news of Jesus to their communities, and He's still working in the hearts of individuals who want to do their part to spread the gospel. What was needed was a pathway to intersect all those things.

These are the founders of Trellis, Jake and Sarah Zaske. In this video, they explain Trellis and why they started it.

“Trellis was created by local church practitioners for the next generation of pastors and local church leaders. Our program seeks to empower men and women by equipping them with the practical training and formal education that will fully equip them for a lifetime of local church ministry.”
